Whytematter are delighted to be partnering with a leading knowledge-based media and events organisation to recruit an Events Executive.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established business that delivers a busy programme of high-profile conferences, exhibitions and business events across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Working alongside an experienced team, you'll play a key role in delivering events from concept through to completion while building relationships with speakers, sponsors and commercial partners.
The Role
As Events Executive, you'll support the planning, coordination and delivery of a diverse portfolio of conferences and events, ensuring every project is delivered to the highest standard.
This is a varied role that combines event management, marketing, sponsorship coordination and stakeholder engagement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the planning and delivery of conferences and business events from start to finish.
Liaise with speakers, including arranging travel, accommodation and event logistics.
Support the Event Manager with the operational delivery of live events.
Manage exhibition bookings and assist with sponsorship sales.
Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, exhibitors and commercial partners.
Support the delivery of marketing campaigns across digital and print channels to maximise event attendance.
Maintain and update company databases and CRM systems.
Provide research, proofreading and administrative support to the wider editorial and events teams where required.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and thrives in a busy events environment. You'll enjoy working with people, managing multiple projects and taking ownership of your workload.
Essential Criteria
Graduate-level education.
Ideally two or more years' experience within events coordination or a similar role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritise multiple deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
A proactive approach with the confidence to work independently and use your own initiative.
Additional Requirements
Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
Flexibility to travel and attend events, including occasional overnight stays, early starts and evening work.
