The Role
As Event Manager, you'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of events, managing projects from the initial proposal stage right through to delivery and post-event review. You'll work closely with clients, suppliers and the wider events team to ensure every project is delivered to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
Manage events from initial pitch and proposal through to successful delivery and post-event reconciliation.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact throughout each project.
Lead and support Event Executives and Event Assistants, delegating work and encouraging their professional development.
Manage project budgets and profitability, working closely with senior management to maximise commercial opportunities.
Research industry trends, venues and entertainment to develop creative event concepts.
Build strong relationships with suppliers while negotiating competitive rates and contracts.
Support new business activity by contributing to pitches, proposals and company growth initiatives.
Oversee on-site event delivery, ensuring seamless execution and resolving any issues as they arise.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are achieved while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Contribute to improving internal processes and continuously enhancing event delivery standards.
Core office hours are Monday-Friday, 9.00am-5.00pm, with flexibility required for occasional evenings and weekends when events are taking place.
About You
We're looking for an organised, creative and commercially minded events professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Criteria
Third-level qualification in Event Management, Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
At least one year's experience in an Event Manager or Senior Event Executive role with demonstrable project management experience.
Proven experience delivering events from concept through to completion.
Experience leading or mentoring team members.
Strong client relationship management skills.
Excellent organisational, communication and project management abilities.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and Canva.
Ability to prioritise competing deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Calm, professional approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
Desirable Criteria
Experience managing event budgets and profitability.
Experience developing and pitching creative event concepts.
Exposure to business development or winning new clients.
Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
Experience using project or event management software (such as Monday.com).
Experience delivering a variety of event types including corporate, conferences and gala events.
Established supplier or venue network.
Experience working in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to develop and grow within a successful events business.
