Location: Belfast
Our client is an ambitious, friendly and award-winning agency, seeking an experienced Digital Performance Manager to join their growing media team.
This role will focus on planning, buying, monitoring, refining and evaluating digital marketing campaigns across a diverse portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering performance-led growth and building strong, trusted client relationships.
You will work closely with the Head of Digital Media, contributing to new business proposals and supporting the agency’s digital proposition. Collaboration with media, creative and account management teams — as well as direct client interaction — is central to this position.
Core Responsibilities
Manage digital performance across multiple key accounts.
Oversee day-to-day administration of live digital campaigns, including setup, optimisation and reporting.
Cost media plans and manage client budgets accurately.
Negotiate with digital media suppliers and partners.
Provide strategic feedback on proposed digital initiatives.
Collaborate with and support the wider media team.
Raise media purchase orders and provide finance with corresponding documentation for invoice matching.
Strategic Skills & Technical Requirements
Campaign Strategy & Performance
Develop digital communication strategies based on insights from research, historic data and campaign performance.
Plan integrated media approaches across the full customer journey.
Forecast business outcomes and performance impact.
Think strategically beyond the brief, ensuring digital integrates into the wider communications mix.
Build performance forecasts aligned with client objectives and market trends.
Strong working knowledge of:
Google Ads
Social ad platforms
GA4
Programmatic buying (CTV, Audio, Display, Content Partnerships)
Conduct post-campaign analysis and translate findings into actionable strategic recommendations.
Maintain strong knowledge of the evolving digital media landscape and emerging trends.
Desirable:
SEO & GEO best practice knowledge
DSP experience
Google Tag Manager experience
Some understanding of traditional media channels and their integration with digital
Audience & Data Analysis
Build, develop and analyse performance dashboards (e.g. Looker Studio).
Implement measurement and attribution methodologies.
Use audience research tools to create data-driven segments and A/B testing strategies.
Desirable:
TGI and/or GWI experience
Understanding of website UX best practices
Essential Criteria
Experience: 5+ years in a similar digital performance role (agency preferred; client or supplier-side considered).
Platform Expertise: Google Ads, CM360, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat, Spotify, ad serving and verification tools.
Campaign Management: Experience planning and managing large digital budgets, including direct supplier partnerships.
Certifications: Google Ads and GA4 certified.
Creative Collaboration: Experience working alongside creative and production teams to ensure digital specifications are met.
Innovation: Exposure to technology and AI within digital media workflows.
Additional Requirements:
Experience using agency management systems and raising media purchase orders.
Familiarity with structured agency processes (e.g. CPD, ISO, briefing frameworks).
Strong Microsoft 365 proficiency (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Copilot, Outlook).

This role reports to the Head of Digital Media and works closely with media, creative and account management teams.
