About the Role
Whytematter are delighted to be recruiting a Content Marketing Specialist to focus on social media marketing, with a strong emphasis on video content across multiple platforms for our client who are an award winning industry, based in Co.Down. This role will suit someone who is confident both in front of and behind the camera, and who has experience creating video content tailored to different social media formats.
You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality content that supports SEO, drives traffic growth, and strengthens brand storytelling. The role spans work across a range of clients and sectors, translating digital strategy into content that delivers measurable performance.
This position combines hands-on content creation with strategic input. You’ll support client campaigns as well as the organisation’s own digital marketing activity across website, social media, and email channels.
You’ll also take responsibility for managing the organisation’s social media channels, working closely with the wider marketing team to promote the brand.
Close collaboration with the Head of Digital Strategy, designers, and digital marketers is central to the role, ensuring content is planned, created, optimised, and reported on effectively.
The ideal candidate is creatively driven, data-aware, and genuinely interested in digital trends, evolving content formats, and performance-led marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the strategic direction of social media, blog, and email activity
Take ownership of video production and collaborate with the team to deliver regular, high-quality video content for both internal marketing and clients
Create engaging content for websites, blogs, landing pages, social media, and email campaigns
Write clear, persuasive copy aligned with brand tone of voice and campaign objectives
Plan and produce content assets including written content, photography, and video
Capture behind-the-scenes video showcasing team culture, events, and studio activity
Edit short-form video content for social platforms to bring work and culture to life
Design visual content and social assets using tools such as Canva
Contribute creative ideas for campaigns, content formats, and storytelling approaches
Carry out keyword research to support SEO-led content planning
Optimise content to improve search visibility and organic traffic
Use content marketing to drive traffic generation and audience engagement
Track and report on digital performance using tools such as Google Analytics
Clearly communicate performance insights and recommendations to clients
Support the delivery of the organisation’s wider digital marketing strategy
Stay up to date with digital trends and platform developments
About You
This role would suit a creative content marketer who enjoys turning ideas into high-quality content that performs. You’ll be confident working across multiple formats and channels, with a solid understanding of how content supports wider digital strategy.
You’ll be organised, curious, and comfortable balancing creative thinking with performance data. Confidence in capturing and editing short-form video for social media is important, although advanced video production or motion graphics experience is not required.
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience producing video content for social media marketing
Experience creating content for websites, social media, and email campaigns
Good understanding of SEO and keyword research
Working knowledge of Google Analytics
Experience with paid social media advertising
Ability to interpret data and clearly explain performance results
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Desirable Experience
Background working in a digital agency environment
Experience using Canva or similar content creation tools
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)
Experience supporting content-led SEO campaigns
Basic understanding of paid advertising
