Relationship Manager – Corporate New Business (Northern Ireland)

We’re delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established and highly respected insurance broker, in the search for a Relationship Manager to join their growing Corporate New Business team based in Northern Ireland.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded, results-driven individual who enjoys building meaningful business relationships and has a strong interest in business development within the insurance sector.
About the Role
This is a key position focused on lead generation, relationship building, and appointment setting for Development Executives operating across the Northern Irish market. The successful candidate will work strategically to identify and convert new business opportunities, contributing directly to growth. The role also offers the chance to attend some client meetings to observe the sales process in action.
It’s a fantastic stepping stone into a client facing business development role. Within 18 months, the successful candidate will begin transitioning into a Trainee Development Executive position, taking on a more active role in meetings and progressing toward managing their own portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Managing the lead pipeline and generating qualified appointments for Development Executives
Building strategic engagement with prospective clients
Conducting proactive outreach and lead generation activity
Collaborating with the marketing team to support business development campaigns
Identifying opportunities to streamline and enhance lead conversion processes
Ensuring all activities remain compliant with relevant regulations
What We’re Looking For
A confident communicator with a strong telephone manner
Previous experience or understanding of the insurance industry
Technically proficient with CRM platforms (Salesforce or similar), LinkedIn, and MS Office
A professional, self-motivated approach with a strong work ethic
Ability to grasp client business challenges and align solutions accordingly
