Ecommerce Specialist
Whytematter Staffing Solutions are proud to be partnering with an ambitious and fast-growing FMCG brand making waves across both direct-to-consumer and major online marketplaces. With a strong presence on Shopify, Amazon, eBay, and Tesco, they’re now looking to bring on board an eCommerce Specialist to help drive the performance of their digital channels.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for eCommerce and digital marketing who wants to develop their career in a high-growth environment. You’ll support the day-to-day performance of the brand’s DTC site and marketplaces—covering everything from site updates and trading activities to marketplace content, advertising support, and performance reporting.
This role is perfect for someone early in their eCommerce career who’s hands-on, commercially minded, and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Direct-to-Consumer (Shopify):
Update website content, products, and collections to ensure everything is current and customer-friendly.
Support trading activities such as product launches, promotions, and homepage refreshes.
Assist in tracking key site metrics—sales, traffic, conversion rates, and more.
Marketplace Support (Amazon, eBay, Tesco):
Help manage listings, pricing, and content across Amazon, eBay, and Tesco.
Ensure consistency in categorisation, copy, and availability.
Support with troubleshooting listing issues or implementing optimisations.
Content Creation:
Write or edit product titles, descriptions, and bullet points for all platforms.
Maintain high standards of SEO and brand tone across content.
Work with cross-functional teams to gather assets and product information.
Digital Advertising:
Assist with the setup and tracking of paid campaigns across Google, Meta, and Amazon.
Monitor budgets, timelines, and performance metrics.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders or agencies to ensure campaign alignment.
Analytics & Reporting:
Pull data from various platforms (Shopify, Amazon, ad platforms) to assist in performance reviews.
Build dashboards and reports to share key insights.
Identify trends, opportunities, or potential improvements in performance.
Who We’re Looking For:
1–2 years of experience in an eCommerce, digital marketing, or marketplace support role.
Familiar with platforms like Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, and Google Analytics.
Strong analytical skills—comfortable working with data in Excel/Google Sheets.
Detail-oriented and great at managing multiple tasks.
Commercially savvy—you understand what drives traffic and sales.
Proactive and hands-on—you like to get involved and solve problems.
Bonus Skills:
Experience with tools such as Klaviyo, Meta Ads, Google Ads, Amazon Ads, Hotjar, or Looker.
SEO or copywriting background.
Experience with Tesco or eBay marketplaces, or platforms like ChannelAdvisor.
Why Apply?
You’ll join a vibrant, fast-paced team where no two days are the same. If you’re looking to build a career in eCommerce and want exposure across DTC, marketplaces, advertising, and analytics—this is your chance to grow quickly in a supportive, high-impact role.
