Marketing Manager
Whytematter are currently supporting their Global client, with Headquarters in Cookstown on the search for an experienced Marketing Manager to join their team.
The role of Marketing Manager - UK will report directly to the Head of Marketing, working collaboratively together and alongside the UK & Ireland Business Development team, and other functions in the business to devise, implement, and assess the marketing strategy for the region.
This person will take the lead role in formulating the strategic marketing plan, driving implementation and evaluating impact for the market. This person will be responsible for ensuring the strategy is in line with the companies market focuses and CustomCare in the region, and ensure all marketing efforts and investment support the region’s overall strategy and goals.
The role requires someone who is highly organised, methodical and focused on lead generation and relationship development with prospects, customers, influencers and internal stakeholders. Activities will include research and understanding of the target audience, effective planning and implementation of the marketing strategy, and delivery of all activity in region with the support of the in-house and partner agency teams. Additionally the Marketing Manager will work alongside the Business Development team on the origination of sales presentations, marketing & promotion activities, updating systems, arranging and facilitating meetings to producing accurate monthly reports, management of digital footprint in collaboration with Digital Marketing Manager and in line with marketing strategies.
The position is located in Cookstown, Northern Ireland. 3 days per week will be required in the Cookstown office (and 2 days WFH) and travel within the region for events will be required multiple times per month, depending on the requirements/ events taking place.
Ideal Candidate:
- Senior-level marketing experience (3+ years at manager level) in a fast-paced, B2B or industrial setting
- Ideally with sector knowledge (construction/aggregates/heavy industry), but not essential
- Strategic thinker with proven lead generation and campaign evaluation skills
- Strong UK/Ireland market knowledge
- Hands-on experience developing and executing multi-channel marketing plans
- Creative thinker and content creator – someone who brings ideas, is action-oriented, and can lead confidently within the UK team
- Data-driven – confident with reporting, KPIs, and CRM/ERP tools (we use Salesforce, but experience with CRM platforms like HubSpot also relevant)
- Collaborative and credible communicator, comfortable with stakeholder engagement
- Organised and proactive – able to manage multiple projects and external agencies
- Relevant qualifications in marketing, business, or digital (CIM or DMI preferred)
- Willingness to travel across the UK & Ireland (>50%) – this person needs to be out in the market, learning the industry, spending time with customers (and their customers), and generating content with insight and relevance. We'd like them to become embedded in the UKI industry and capable of contributing to forums like IOQ. Customer orientation is key to creating content that connects and drives value.
