Marketing & Communications Manager
Main Responsibilities
Marketing:
- Marketing Strategy: develop and deliver tactical marketing strategies in accordance with business priorities and market objectives. Including working with development directors on their respective schemes and appropriate campaigns.
- Brand Management: Ensure corporate identity guidelines and templates are up-to-date and work collaboratively across the teams to ensure that the MRP brand is used consistently across all marketing materials, print & digital.
- Team Leadership: work with all within MRP to proactively seek and develop marketing initiatives which pursue the objectives of the brand in new and interesting ways.
- Social Media Management: monitor, manage and develop all social media channels and the Company website including the creation, editing and proofing of content.
- Supplier/Stakeholder Management: Assist in the design approval process and production of marketing materials, for print, advertising and sponsorships, through both the development and construction phases.
- External Resourcing: scoping and briefing appointed external creative agency/PR resources services on areas such as press announcements, brochures, development brand identities, websites, public consultation material, investment guides, videos and any other design/marketing requests.
- Media Relations: Coordinate the PR and media relations activity in line with the business strategy and provide public liaison support for developments where needed.
- Events & Conferences: responsible for the overall management of the events and conferences for the business.
- Photography: maintain an up-to-date database of high-quality photography, subject to suitable expense pre-approval, for the company to assist with marketing activities and for bid purposes.
- Awards: coordinate the Awards submissions for the company; liaising with the relevant development teams and departments; writing and proofing the content.
- Assist the board on ad-hoc research and market analysis tasks.
Community Engagement:
- Engage with the local community and relevant stakeholders on a regular basis to build strong and trusting relationships.
- Lead the implementation of the project’s Social Value strategy and ensuring activities are recorded on the ESG reporting platform.
- Organising events and new initiatives in relation to community engagement, i.e. school engagement, employment events, fundraising and volunteering initiatives
- Produce a monthly report on Community Engagement activity and Social Value delivered.
- Produce socially orientated project case studies.
Carry out any other duties that may be reasonably requested of you.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related role.
- A track record in delivering community engagement initiatives and engaging with a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent understanding of social value requirements, drivers and client requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
