Business Development Executive
We are delighted yet again to be representing a multi-award-winning company who are looking for a Business Development Executive to join their team.
About the Role
Working in one of the key business teams, you will be responsible for growing sales volume and revenues for a range of product verticals. You will develop relationships with existing partners as well as identifying and negotiating new partnership arrangements. The role provides the opportunity to develop your career in Business Development and will include, but not be limited to:
- Helping drive new business growth through market research, industry engagement, and targeted discovery, identifying prospects who have the potential to be strategic partners.
- Approaching prospective partners through methods including cold-calling, email, and LinkedIn and responding to inbound inquiries to generate new business opportunities, qualifying their interests.
- Creating presentation decks, assisting with or conducting presentations and inputting to other marketing collateral to support partnership acquisition.
- Liaising and attending meetings and exhibitions with other company functions e.g. Product Management or Customer Success, necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
- Following up on inbound enquiries and generating outbound leads and opportunities, including strategic industry and competitor analysis.
- Meeting or exceeding daily, weekly and monthly performance targets for number of calls held, meetings/demos booked and leads qualified.
- Monitoring and reporting on new business sales activities and providing accurate weekly and monthly pipeline forecast information.
You may be required to attend meetings and/or conferences which could involve some occasional overseas travel, primarily within the UK.

- Able to demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines, work independently and have strong analytical skills
- Driven, ambitious and show a willingness to go the extra mile to achieve and exceed targets
- Thrive on customer interaction and comfortable dealing with senior company executives
- Natural planner with an organised mindset and approach to work
- Determined and eager to embrace new experiences and responsibilities
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 1 years’ sales experience in a sales role, ideally from a technology, consulting, or insurance/financial/utilities product background
- A track record of generating new sales opportunities and pipeline via phone, social media, and personalised emails, researching and nurturing prospects and be familiar with the tools necessary to do this well i.e., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and CRM
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to communicate confidently face to face and virtually
- Experience of working in a target driven environment
- Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills
- Excellent skills in MS Office (particularly Excel)
- Proven ability to self-educate
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in an IT, e-commerce, fintech or financial services environment
- Experience with HubSpot, LinkedIn and other sales tools to manage pipeline and build a network
- An appreciation of web/software development
- Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
